We are not a direct placement agency. Instead, we serve as a reliable source of talent for agencies and families seeking au pairs. Our mission is to foster fair, safe, and accessible opportunities for cultural exchange and promote global connections through trusted partnerships.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

"Platform" refers to the Au Pair Petals website, digital services, and related technology
"Services" refers to all services provided by Au Pair Petals
"User" refers to any person accessing or using our Platform
"Au Pair" refers to individuals seeking cultural exchange opportunities
"Host Family" refers to families seeking au pair services
"Agency" refers to licensed au pair placement agencies
"Content" refers to all information, data, text, images, and materials on the Platform

3. Our Services

3.1 Core Services

Au Pair Petals provides the following services:

Candidate Sourcing: Sourcing au pair candidates primarily from African countries including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon, with global expansion plans
Talent Supply: Supplying qualified au pair talent to licensed au pair agencies and host families
Visa Preparation Support: Guidance and support during visa application processes
Interview Readiness & Cultural Training: Training to prepare au pairs for interviews and cultural adaptation
Matching Platform & Advisory Services: Digital platform for connecting au pairs with families/agencies and related advisory services

3.2 Target Market

Our services are designed for:

Au pair agencies, primarily in Europe (Germany, Austria, Netherlands, France, Scandinavia)
Host families located globally

4. User Obligations and Responsibilities

4.1 General Obligations

By using our Platform, you agree to:

Respect the rights and dignity of all other users

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Uses

5.1 Prohibited Conduct

When accessing our Platform, you agree not to:

Engage in abusive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable behavior
Harass, intimidate, or abuse any user or third party
Practice or promote discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
Use the Platform for illegal purposes or in violation of any laws or regulations

Interfere with or disrupt Platform operations

Assume responsibility for direct relationships between users
Provide ongoing supervision of user interactions
Guarantee visa approval or legal compliance
Act as an employment agency or legal advisor

7. Access and Password Security

Certain Platform sections may require password access. If provided with access credentials, you agree to:

Keep passwords confidential and secure
Not share access with unauthorized persons
Notify us immediately of suspected unauthorized use
Accept responsibility for all activities under your access credentials

8. Privacy Policy

Ongoing conduct of users after connections are made
Absolute accuracy of all user-provided information
Uninterrupted or error-free Platform operation
Merchantability, fitness for particular purposes, or non-infringement

12.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Au Pair Petals shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from:

Platform access, use, or inability to use
Third-party conduct or content
Unauthorized access or alteration of transmissions
Disputes, damages, or issues arising from user interactions, agreements, or relationships
Outcomes from direct interactions or living arrangements facilitated by the Platform

You acknowledge that all responsibilities concerning direct relationships between users rest solely with the respective parties.

13. Reporting Misconduct and Platform Integrity

13.1 Reporting Responsibilities

13.2 Our Response to Reports

Upon receiving misconduct reports, we may:

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.2 Dispute Resolution Between Au Pair Petals and Users

14.3 Third-Party Disputes

Au Pair Petals is not party to disputes between au pairs and host families/agencies. We may provide screening and evaluation data only when legally compelled by valid court order.

14.4 Class Action Waiver

Disputes with Au Pair Petals must be resolved individually. You may not bring claims as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will:

Indicate updates by revising the date at the top
Provide reasonable notice of material changes
Attempt direct notification for significant changes

Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

16. General Provisions
